Healing Is Like Playing Chicken

Standing toe to toe with the devil is something the average person never wants to do. Only when we are willing to confront natural thinking with supernatural can we see results in prayer. If you know the word of God says you are healed, and don’t doubt it you can look the devil in the eye until he blinks and walks away. If something looks and feels real, we tend to believe it. However God’s word is real and if you believe it it will show up like a bridge that’s invisible until you step on it. Healing is like that. You want instant healing? You’ll need to be sure it’s right there. And take it. Healing isn’t a passive thing. Healing isn’t for wimps or sissies. It’s a fight, a battle of the will. Knowledge of your healing by God’s Word leads to confidence in a battle. Experience cements your faith. The first time is the hardest one. Don’t give in to natural thinking.

When confronted with a heart attack, injury, allergic reaction or infection, for instance, you have a choice. When the symptoms of pain in your arm start, anxiety, shortness of breath and racing heart, usually a person says “I’m having a heart attack!” This is agreement with having a heart attack or stroke. If you know you don’t have to have it, you reject it like a package you don’t want to open. Fear is the doorway to agreeing with death. Jesus instructs us not to fear over and over. When you resist fear you’re 90% healed already. The other 10% will occur when you resist symptoms until they leave. We have done this over and over.

This may be a formula but it works for most any emergency. First resist fear, second resist symptoms. Not necessarily in that order.
