People who know me generally all say that I don’t seem to be disabled like other people. My family laughs and teases me in a complimentary way that I somehow make people forget about the wheelchair in which I sit. I always take that as a high compliment. I’m glad they stop thinking about the wheelchair when they are with me but the question is, why? Yesterday we had a lady say something so significant to me. The lady at the Dept. of Motor Vehicles (Secretary of State) who only saw me for a few minutes, smiled and referred to me as “technically handicapped.” My daughter laughed in agreement with her and pointed out that here was another person seeing me as not actually disabled. I believe this is a spiritual thing. I don’t believe in my handicap as permanent or even see myself as disabled, therefore that emanates to others as well. Very interesting phenomenon. I appear to others as not belonging in a wheelchair even though my body believes I do. Paralyzed from the chest down, hands too. A C-6 spinal cord injury, I’m “technically handicapped.” By faith I say I’m technically healed. But that reality is rising up and the spiritual truth will override the physical. It’s becoming more real every day. I am pursuing the full manifestation of my healing through Christ. I have learned a lot about faith and healing and I like sharing this with others. Thus the blog. I have a Youtube channel, "lynnesuszek", where I teach and share testimonies. Please check out our ministry at www.Hisability.com!

He’s All About That Grace

BASS I just learned about this popular song (yeah, just now) “All About That Bass,” which talks nothing about a bass musical instrument or treble in the sense of music; Meghan Trainor somehow uses the word “bass” to refer to the bottom half of the body (I think.) Her message is about not worrying about your weight. It’s actually a grace message, removing the social law that girls face about being thin. I mean it’s true, girls do suffer with fat-phobia which leads to rejection which can lead to Anorexia, bulimia, (bully-me-a), lesbianism, promiscuity, prostitution, abuse and suicide. Horrible things are related to placing such a standard on yourself that one must be a size 2 or 4. People can be attractive on a larger scale than a super model standard (pun intended) which is actually unhealthy anyway, how thin they are. Grace removes the law which actually relaxes a person from stress and allows empowerment for clearer thinking. Watch for future blogs on weight management. I have more to say about the spirituality of food.

For those in Christ, the gospel is “all about that grace.” I heard parodies about Meghan’s song which are using the same tune with Christian lyrics. They are awesome. And every great idea deserves a Tshirt! A Tshirt was born today because  of these parodies; however I put my own spin on the words. Instead of “no devil” or “no trouble” I believe the most fitting line is “no struggle.” God wants us to enter His Rest. Hebrews 4:11 says:

“Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.”

Resting in Christ: trusting God to handle your life instead of making all your decisions without Him. It’s super important to learn how to rest

in Him. It’s so important that it is considered disobedience not to enter into that rest. The more we stress and struggle in life indicates how much we are not resting in God’s plan for us. Anxiety is a good indicator of someone who does not yet know how to enter God’s rest. It’s God’s desire that we let go of our plans and slow down our lives until we can hear Him whisper “I love you…”

All About Grace_greenI really like this palm tree shirt, regarding Grace. I think God has been sending visions of beeches and palm trees to His people. We need to get the message on how to relax so we can have God’s fellowship just like Adam and Eve had, in the beginning. He’s all about that Grace.
