People who know me generally all say that I don’t seem to be disabled like other people. My family laughs and teases me in a complimentary way that I somehow make people forget about the wheelchair in which I sit. I always take that as a high compliment. I’m glad they stop thinking about the wheelchair when they are with me but the question is, why? Yesterday we had a lady say something so significant to me. The lady at the Dept. of Motor Vehicles (Secretary of State) who only saw me for a few minutes, smiled and referred to me as “technically handicapped.” My daughter laughed in agreement with her and pointed out that here was another person seeing me as not actually disabled. I believe this is a spiritual thing. I don’t believe in my handicap as permanent or even see myself as disabled, therefore that emanates to others as well. Very interesting phenomenon. I appear to others as not belonging in a wheelchair even though my body believes I do. Paralyzed from the chest down, hands too. A C-6 spinal cord injury, I’m “technically handicapped.” By faith I say I’m technically healed. But that reality is rising up and the spiritual truth will override the physical. It’s becoming more real every day. I am pursuing the full manifestation of my healing through Christ. I have learned a lot about faith and healing and I like sharing this with others. Thus the blog. The “awareness” months and awareness walks, pins and symbols are getting popular. Personally, I want to cause people to be aware of our benefits in Christ, rather than awareness that there is no cure, or that we need a cure. Jesus is our DOUBLE CURE! (Isaiah 40:2 Jer 16:18) Forget not His Benefits in Psalm 103 means that firstly: there are benefits; and two: we might forget them. Well we have forgotten. The whole world is looking for the cure for many diseases through medical science. We in Christ have the Cure for all of them. What you don’t know will kill you and those you love. God’s people die for lack of knowledge. [Hosea 4:6] I didn’t know about my benefits, my rights in Christ, when I had my accident in 1985. I understand them now and know how to use them…for everything that comes upon me now. My blog and Tshirts are a testimony of awareness. I share every week all that I’m learning about healing along with my own progress with a spinal cord injury. I am not ashamed of the gospel of Grace and healing, I’m ashamed of not knowing it sooner. Learn how to apply your rights over sickness and disease! Tell others! We are the righteousness of Christ! We have His power living in us! He is our cure! Cancer is won! I know people winning the battle because they know. Winning without chemotherapy, winning their health back, winning mobility back! Learn to speak to your body, cut off the flow of death in your life though words! So many people don’t know! Learn! And tell others. Healing is available and happening.
I hope to see our tee shirts taking the place of those in walkathons raising money for something we already have. Learning what we have and applying it are the steps to believing that cause the receiving. [Mark 11:24] Accept as fact that you have received your healing when you pray; then it will manifest. Practice using your faith daily. Go to a church that believes and sees healing regularly. Surround yourself with information and people who actually see answers to prayer. Use Youtubes and watch ministries that teach healing until your mind is renewed. Healing is here, be aware and share!
