Symptoms Leave When You Believe

In learning about faith, we have found out that symptoms of pain or even paralysis are false because Jesus took the curse. (Gal 3:13) I’ve been learning and seeing results by losing faith in the natural realm. I try to stop believing what I see and feel as if they are unchangeable because “We walk by faith (in the truth of God’s Word) not by sight (the senses of our body).” Therefore whatever we see or feel can be overridden by faith. Symptoms in our body speak to us but we can and should speak back and resist knowing that according to our faith we can be healed. (Eph 3:20)

I’ve applied this to many symptoms of pain, flu, infection, allergy and have successfully seen symptoms leave after I believed. Believe and act, believe and act, that’s the faith formula. You can speak it, til you believe it; believe and act on it; then you will see it manifest. You can hear a testimony and believe; you can read in the Word and believe; watch someone else get healed and believe; experience it and believe then do it again because you know it’s true by experience. Hearing, doing, speaking and watching all cause your heart to believe. Watch, believe, experience it, repeat! “Faith cometh by hearing” and hearing represents our senses. We experience things in our imagination through hearing/seeing/reading or touching which reaches our heart and poof! We believe. Remembering a former experience (good or bad) causes your heart to agree again that it’s true. Remembering failure causes unbelief. So remembering miraculous experiences, either your own or someone else’s, sparks belief.

I’ve looked into “sleep paralysis” since it is something of a phenomenon that people don’t know much about, yet people experience it. The common way to fix it is to fight it. A friend of my husband said this happens to him. If he sleeps hard, sometimes he wakes up unable to move. Mark asked him how he gets it to change. He said “I fight it. I just keep wiggling like I’m breaking out of ropes and eventually I can move.” This was very helpful to me. I’ve been asking God how to fight my own paralysis since I know by faith that it’s a lie. God has been teaching me this in so many ways. You may know of my blog “Are you deaf?” where God spoke to me in the shower. My ear was blocked by wax that wouldn’t come out. I heard God say “are you deaf in that ear?” I said “no, I’m not” He said “but you can’t hear out of that ear.” I said no but it’s just a temporary block, water or wax; it will change.” He said, “neither are you really paralyzed. You fight it just like trying to get the earwax out. ”

If you wake up and can’t move or feel, you know it’s not true so you resist. You’re not really paralyzed. Every sickness or injury is the same. We were healed by His stripes. (1 Peter 2:24) I really needed that comparison. I’m beginning to spend time trying to kick and move my legs; like hammering a rock, every effort is doing something. Eventually the rock will crack open. Every time I exercise faith by trying to move, I feel tingling in my legs. It’s just a matter of time. Symptoms of every kind can change immediately the stronger you believe.

“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.” James 1:6, 7

“Therefore, I say unto you, whatsoever things you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.” Mark 11:24
