Faith Formulas

It is often said that there is no formula for healing. While it is true that there are no step-by-step directions to healing, you cannot just do what someone else did and see healing manifest, yet there are dependable spiritual laws. Faith is spiritual and action is usually physical. Faith without actions is dead, worthless and non-productive. (James 2:14) However, faith with action is a formula that will manifest healing, once you know whether your faith is really faith. If you mistakenly think you are in faith and try to act on it, nothing happens. How do you know you are in faith? Try acting on it and see what happens! If nothing manifests, try again. It may be coming down the pike. Never give up. Keep trying, knowing God’s word trumps the physical world. It has to bow to God’s word.

Example: I have manifested healing on purpose many times after learning the “formula.”  I was developing pain in my back one week. (I am in a wheelchair, still with paralysis from a spinal cord injury that I believe is going to be healed) I had started to feel a soreness in my back that seemed to be relieved by getting in bed so I started getting in bed early in the day until after a few days I was getting in bed at noon. We were scheduled for a road trip on that Friday to go to meet my in-laws two hours away. By Thursday I was feeling like I couldn’t tolerate being in my chair all day and we considered canceling the visit. Then I realized  this was just going down a path to make me more disabled. I had learned how to fight for healing by resisting new symptoms. I decided we would not cancel and my back was going to be healed on the way there. I said in my heart and out loud to my husband, “this is a battle and I’m not going to give in and give the enemy any more ground in my life.” So that was my faith declaration, by God’s word that I’m redeemed from all curses (Gal 3:13). We went Friday morning in faith and I said again, “I’ll be healed on the way.” That’s what happened. I knew the formula was faith + action. My back never had pain after that. Just like the woman who said “if I touch Jesus, I’ll be made whole” her faith decision plus action manifested the healing.
God made natural laws we can count on, with formulas. I believe the laws of faith are also to be so trustworthy, we can know every time that we will see results. Since most people cannot measure faith in any tangible way, we end up guessing our way to miracles, with hit-and-miss kind of faith, having faith accidents. When we stumble onto a faith law and get healed, we might assume that God wanted us well for one thing but not another. This is an immature conclusion drawn by those who do not really know that God is love and He is always good. But faith has laws and laws can be counted on, with formulas. Rom 8:2 says in so many words, thank God the laws of the spiritual realm set us free from the laws of the natural realm. We are no longer subject to the elements of this world (Gal 4:3) ..for those who believe. Learning to believe then, is the challenge. Convincing your heart usually happens via experience. We must experience faith results either by watching, listening, reading or doing. Read the miracles Jesus and the disciples did; listen to testimonies, meditate on these and convince your heart that these things are true. Experiencing failure just adds to your heart’s case against you. You must meditate on successful faith in action, whether it be someone you know or someone you follow online. Anyone can believe when they experience something enough times.
